Surroundings - La Real Casa de Aduanas
Work on this building, the Royal Custom House, was finished in 1769. It was conceived as an Italian palace, while maintaining the functional character the institution demanded. The exterior is a well-proportioned facade with a rusticated frieze balustrade and a series of symmetrically placed pediments and windows of different sizes. It is currently the site of the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
